I have had my car for 8 months and I have 22000 miles on it already. I had a '95 accord and it started to make the same noise at 187000 miles when the compressor for the a/c was on. The sound is like a wailing sound only when the compressor is on. I took the car to King Acura in Birmingham Alabama and they replaced the whole compressor, problem not fixed, took it back, next they changed the compressor clutch assembly, still makes the noise. I cant here the noise if the radio is up loud but if it is off it drives me nuts.

Any one know what the hell is up?


Another thing I need help with is the fact that my transmission has started grinding sometimes when I put it in third with the clutch fully depressed. It hasn’t done it in about three days but it does it about 1 time a week. I am wondering if I have some how worn out the third gear sincros. Even though I have 22000 miles on the car, about 17000 are from driving from Birmingham AL to Lafayette, LA.

Mine makes a hissing sound sometimes when I accelerate from a light and the radio isn't on, but it doesn't botherme enough to have it checked out.

As faras the grinding goes that sounds like the syncro's on 3rd gear are starting to go out. Get that checked out sooner rather than later because if neglected long enough it can hurt the tranny.

Does anyone else have input on the a/c noise, whaling, whining sound particularly audiable with radio off at around 4000rpm, doors closed windows up in the '03 6-speeder.
