some bitch ass little vallet parking kid broke my remote and played like nothing happened by wrapping a rubberband around it and staying quiet. well I had the garage reimburse me, and tryed to get the tl remote for my 2001 CLS. The service manager told me it won't work. maybe it should work on the 2002?

NEVER VALET YOUR CAR. Even at an expensive restaurant here in WA, I had my brakes on my old ride fauked up totally...I don't know what happended, but the ABS remains lit after I got my old teg back from valet service. Of course I traded her in...and I know better to let valet touch my car..

Those people are so bad...they don't give a shit about your ride...

Don't believe the service manager when he says that the 02 remote will not work with 02 CL's or 01 CL's because they do. I've had the TL remote for months now and I know that several other members on here also have the TL remote..

so what did we learn today? don't let vallet park your car, and don't trust service managers. that guy was a dick, I asked him so confidently, but he insisted it won't work, what am I going to do, get him in a headlock until he gets me the remote.

Buy the remote from Snook at Acura-TL.com. The instructions for programming it are straight forward. I have a copy I can mail you or chodthewacko's FAQ has the instructions. The car can program up to 3 remotes and they can be mixed old or new. It doesn't matter. In 90% of the cases, the guys from this forum know more about the CL than most Acura Service Depts. Park Avenue Acura is the best informed service department I have ever encountered.

I swear, I should have waited one week, I might have come across this post BEFORE I bought the new remote. I'm just gonna keep the one I got, and keep vallet parking my car, so maybe thet'll break another one, then I'll take care of this TL remote business, thanks anyway. Its not worth the trip to Park Ave, even though the TL remote is sweet.
