Ok, I know this has been addressed b4 but, I can't find it nowhere on the site . I went to the dealer today to get my car serviced and I saw the 02 CLS. The keyless remote is the same as the 02 TLS. I asked the parts sales man 4 if the new one was compatible with the 01 and he said NO! I was like ok....how about just buying one and swapping out the parts on the inside of the remote. They didn't have one BS!

4 the people driving the new 02 cls are the key fob remotes the same as 01 or are the lock, unlock, trunk and panic buttons in different locations??

I dont understand, whats better on the 02s remote as to the 01s? I have the 02s, its just a silver remote with a big lock button on top, below that, left side is unlock, right is trunk button, below them at the bottom is the red panic button. Flip the remote over and the thing i love the most about the car shows. hehe the acura logo on the remote, everyone of my firends loveeee it. Oh and the remote linked memory seats/mirror thingy is cool. My gf loves it, she has remote 2 so she wont forget to change the mirrors when shes driving my car. Its weird cause she can sit at same position as me but she cant drive with the way i set up the mirrors. haha

 

what's better about the 02's than the 01's? haha if you've never seen a 01 remote, then just take a look at someone who has a honda accord, civic, etc. it has the same look as those. your 02 remote looks much classier than our 01's.

 

the trunk button on the '02's are harder to accidentally push than the '01s. before switching, i remembered my trunk opening by accident at least twice.
