02' fog lights

Question 02' fog lights

why are my fog lights so f-ing dull. i have a night light in my house thats brighter. do i just need new bulbs? if so what are the brightest?

They're not fog lights, they are road lamps and are just for looks, not function.
Some use higher watt bulbs but sometime the housings melt.

piaa 19224 bulbs - about $15 and install in less than 5 minutes...big difference

once and for all...is this 'cooling kit' needed? several say ...some say

I don't have a problem without this "cooling kit." And I run my lights all the time. If I have too, I'll just replace the housings. I can buy 2 sets for less than that will cost.
