I am planing on racing him after i get my IMRC fixed. Its going be all on the dragstrip, because i dont do it on the streets. What do you guys think who will be the winner?..

I am going to do it sometimes next week. Actually i ran him and he left me but again my IMRC is busted now..

should be close... he might have the advantage, if u don't have mods. plus if he sucks at drive you'll have a chance.

If you get a good launch I think you will have him. Then again, if he gets a good launch he might have you. It will be close - I agree with Lippstuh on buying headers

Back in the day Car and Driver did this test both being 6mt and if I remember right they said the CL-S had the better straight line speed....even thought the 330 handle alot better.
Someone do some research and correct me if I'm wrong.
You better be a pro at the manual...one misshift and its goodnight CL.

If my '01 CLS stock could beat a 5mt 330ci, then im sure you with your 6speed should absolutely win. of course, with good shifting technique. screw what the magazines say.

imo that's not considered mag racing.. simply because it's a straight comparison between the 2 cars, vs. comparing info from 1 year to one from a different magazine or something

when my car was stock, i beat a manual 330 by the time i hit 3rd i stayed a full car ahead to 4th. you should win easily...gl

no doubt, my buddy has an 02 330ci manual and i beat him stock and he has intake and exhaust, i have aem cai, xs headers, and magnaflow exhaust now and I'll usually pull on him right away and get about a car and a half by 3rd...

you shouldn't have a problem

Your buddy dont know how to drive if u beat him that easy. Last time when we stepped on it the bimmer was keeping up pretty strong.

A guy I know on has a 330ci 5MT and he ran a 14.6@95MPH. I believe he has the 225HP version. A 6spd CL-S should win as long as he drives perfectly.

On paper & street you should win. However on a track you need to get traction off the line. It's a bitch to do this with the 6mt CLS.

Well, we didnt run yet because i have been too bussy this past 2 weeks. I found a S2K on the car auction that i might be geting also, and school is taking my free time so i have not ran him yet.

Depends on what your CL-S has as far as mods are concerned. Its a drivers race stock for stock!
