01'cl-s v.s. tt ..nyc

3:30 this afternoon i left work early and hopped on the FDR or Harlem river drive in new york. for those of you who don't know, its on the east side and its a windy highway perfect for a good run if there is enough room. doin' a good 60 mph i spotted this TT moving up real fast behind me, dipping in and out of lanes quickly. he must have been doing at least 95 when he was passing me. i decided to keep up with him and see what the car had to offer. the wonderful part about this car is the ability for it to handle under lots of stress under acceleration. other than a little bit of tourqe steer, i quickly sped behind the TT and started to weave in and out lanes. I passed him doing 110 and started to get close to the ramp for the George Washington Bridge. the highway splits into a two lane ramp the takes a good climb uphill for a bit till you reach the actual entrance to the bridge. Only a small space stood between two cars up ahead and i had no choice but to slow down. Unfortunatly, the TT didn't feel the same way and properly sped between the small cavity that stood between those two cars and promptly flashed his hazards in proud display of superiority. If i see you again new york lic plate#BOV 5??? you better hope its in traffic.

I know that road and it is a fun road to drive on when its empty. My mom lives off that exit to the left (not getting on the Gdubbs). In traffic though its a little narrow so I take it easy cuz some people are idiots and don't pay attention to the lines on the road!

Too bad you guys weren't on the FDR in lower Manhattan. I could've had the chance to watch you guys from my seminar class room @ 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza.

Nice killed.

Just watch out for these boys next time:

A classmate last semester worked on the PD and loved to pull over racers.

they get a complete kick out of it. they can write you up for everything including street racing, reckless or careless driving and countless other offenses. the nyc police love ticketing racers. the point system is a bitch here.

Your right about that.

Since you live in NJ do the points actually carry over? I always thought if you got an out of state tickted you only payed the fine.

do be honest with you, i'm not quite sure. I was under the impression that when getting tickets and fines in other states that they have discretional power over whether or not you can drive in that state. I don't think they carry over to the next state though. if someone knows for sure, please inform me before i get stopped one more time and have to ask the cop. Maybe this time they'll take away my PBA cards too!

if u have a jersey DL, your points carry over from out-of-state violations

if u have a ny DL, your points DO NOT carry over from out-of-state violations

moral of the story, jersey sucks
