It looked nice. Sponsored. had the ugly kit. had 75 shot NX kit and a AEM CAI, and guy claimed 12.99s in the 1/4 miles.

It he had the 2-tone SEMA leather too.

Travis Preciado's daily-driven 2001 3.2 CL Type-S is a fetching piece of vehicular eye candy.

Bah... We need pics.

12.99... Weren't other people with the same setup running like mid 13's? And please tell me it's not the JT Kit. That thing is just horrible.

I remeber seeing pics of his car when I first got on the board here. Its OK, but I think the blue he picked for the interior is TOO LIGHT!!!! Should be a darker blue in my opinion.

12.99, I'll believe it when I see the video!!!!

Is the car blue? If so i've seen it, the kit is horrible looking. But from what I hear the car is really that quick. It's torn up alot of unsuspecting cars down at the SD street races

I met the guy out in Palm Desert at the street races a year or so back when I had our vette out there.

why dont' you believe it? If he's got headers and such he's putting down 230-240 N/A. A 75 shot would put him right at 305.

he does NOT have headers only a CAI and some high powered coil ignition system

it still wouldn't take much at all to hit those numbers. It's very believable. Also, are you sure he doesn't have headers? I'm pretty sure he did last time I saw him.

Being that it is an automatic with the mentioned mods that number would be hard to hit. Without headers it would be more like 260 WHP. With headers he might hit 285 WHP.

The high powered coil ignition system is laughable in this case. Although there is one system which could boost the output of our ignition system, the only way to gain power is if the stock system were lacking to begin with. That is not the case so there is zero benefit from this item other than talk.

Regardless of the vehicle being fast, it sounds as though he is just talking about hypothetical numbers both on the dyno and the strip. 305 HP is too round of a number and the 12.99 doesn't sound right either. Maybe this is what his wishful thinking has come up with.

scalbert, how are you putting him at 260 w/ a 75 shot? Nitrous shots usually give you that to the wheels, at least every car i've dynoed has. So most stock type s's dyno around 220 right? throw on a 75 shot he's way up above 260.

Most dyno's I have done or seen haven't yielded 100% of the shot run. Normally only 85% - 90% of the actual shot made it to the wheels, especially on an automatic.

A stock automatic CL-S will dyno around 195 - 200 WHP.

let me find my dyno, I got exactly 50 to the wheels on a 50 shot. Not sure if i'll be able to find it though, but i'll look.
