01' cls brake question
Ive learned the har way that Acura pads are the best for this car. I recently replaced my pads (no more than a couple of months old) and now I need to replace my rotors. My question is, is it completely neccesary to replace the pads when your replace the rotors or can I get away with just replacing the rotors?

When I originally replaced my pads, the acura pads were the only ones that didnt squeek. I tried ceramic(green sutff) and other metalic pads but they all squeeked to no end. Im not saying that the pads caused the rotors to warp, I just want to know if I HAVE to get new pads when I replace my rotors.

Best thing to do when you are switching from pads to pads, is to take your rotos off, and get them turned (re-surfaced) every time. If they are not resurfacable, then you must buy new ones. After you resurface them, wash them with warm soap.
You should at least do this when you are switching off OEM pads and aftermarket pads.
It will stop the squeeking, and make sure you grease all the points where the brake pads move, lioke on the caliper where the brake pad moves forward and back.
