Long night tonight, ran into a bunch of cars on the way from starbucks down to this dessert place on Geary. Was playing with a M3 half way down 19th ave.. couldn't get a clean run too much traffic, mostly 2nd gear pulls. We make a right on Geary and theres a older NSX but couldn't get a run because there was a cop next to us in the 3rd lane ahaha.. was pretty pissed. Finally on the way back I see a new 335i sedan around stonestown, we're playing cat and mouse till it opens up on the freeway. I get 1 good run in.. about a 85mph roll in 3rd.. 3 honks and off we go.

I seem to pull a fender on him for a second till the turbo's spool. I shutoff at the end of 3rd and his rear bumper is at my front... check the vid, its really long, the goodies are at the end.

From what I could see/hear it looks like he only had a BOV.

I've seen 0-60mph and 0-62mph of 5.3sec and less, some even say 4.9sec. Regardless of what the actual number is, they are plenty fast!

I shutoff after 3rd, thats the only time you see him pull hard. 5AT's hit a wall going into 4th gear if you haven't noticed.

After 3rd no.... but im betting from a 2nd gear roll in VTEC he wouldn't be that far ahead by the end of 3rd.

335I should kill you handsdown from a roll or on the highway. 300hp..which have been dyno'd closer to 311hp at the fly and 300lbs of tq with the same weight as us...If you kept up for a little...you more in likely kept up with the driver..not so much the car. Still nice try..but don't count on beating one.

btw...you could tell he pulled easily on you in the vid.

Not to sound like a dick, but I don't think it matters where you start. It was hard to tell with his stock exhaust, but he probably wasn't even in to full boost when you guys first started.

Then you might have to tell yourself he actually got on it same time as you and maybe after lying to yourself several times believe it yourself. A car that Dynos 270-280 and torque all over compared to a bolt on CL in the low 200s... no chance

I know for a fact he got on it at the 3rd honk, why the hell do you think he would wait for me for a legit rolling start? in that situation his torque is irrelevant, even you should know that. I've raced tons of muscle cars that have a ton more torque than the J32 and haven't had any problems keeping up. And please show me a dyno of a 335i that puts down 280. Regardless if he was a shitty driver, it was a single gear pull, so shift time didn't play a roll in this race. JBlue have you even raced a new 335i? I doubt it, your just assuming his car is faster because of numbers. Theres a lot of things that play a roll in a race.

I don't doubt a 335i would rape a CL-S but in this race you can clearly see I was able to keep up to a certain extent. They are overrated.

And cbus when do you see him pull "easilly"? notice how I get the jump on him in the beginning, only time you really see him pull hard is after I shift into 4th and shutoff, listen to the audio you can hear my shift, the same time you see him pull.
