Ok, I've been holding out on this post for almost a month now, not wanting to post before I was sure of the correct outcome.

Here's the deal:

My best friend got a 2001 ITR about 2 months ago to replace the prelude with i/h/e which i had already stomped.

We race at every light we come too it seems like and i win about 70% of the time. Finally we decided to settle it the old fashioned way. Went to a long straight road with no traffic and had a friend start us. I must add that I have AEM intake and he has the same plus V-AFC.

I knew going in that if I got the jump on him it was over, no way he'd hawk me down. So, of course thats what i did. Just hit the throttle hard enough to jump with no spin before flooring it, I think he launched at around 2000 rpms. Well I immediatelyput about 3/4 a car on him in first and it stayed that way. Everytime he inched up he'd then have to shift which knocked him back down. Well, he almost caught up at the end of third until he shifted into 4th. Needless to say, he's pissed he cant beat me, and I'm pissed i cant beat him by more. Also keep in mind this is the south of south Florida in the summer.

nice race. a guy at my school (public now) who i used to go to machlachlan college (local richy rich private school) with has a japanese import type r. he has a stage 2 turbo with intercooler and blowoff. he is running 296hp to the wheels. i think its funny that the two of us have the nicest cars in school, my cl and his integra, and both acuras.

 

one of the guys at BMP with the black ITR and bronze rays wheels goes 14.0 but keep in mind ....he has cam gears headers,intake and AEM EMC
