01 3.2CLS pics w/18" ACE HyperBlack Spades

Next... lower it! Just need to know how much
is safe... don't want my old Civic scraping.
Need it tight, and look nice, but not scrape.

[01 3.2CLS NAVI, SPOILER, 18" ACE HyperBlack Spade RIMS, Bridgestone Potenza S-02 Pole Position 245/40ZR18]

Thanks

forget lowering, get some ground effects and window tinting, then get a new dual exaust. that would be tight

Hey ramiel408,
i have the same rims with 235-40-18ZR and potenza tires... u will have a big problem if u lower the car with the Comptech Springs... i did lower my car with the comptech spring and now when i take a sharp turn or brake fast the tire will hit in the finder from inside ... so if u wanna lower it u will need for a full adjustable shocks or anything like that .. so u can set it as u like... but dont lower it with the comptech Springs... i just wanted to tell u so u wont do the same mistake i did. ;-)

Forgot the price... actually not too bad
with the tires, all together it came out around $2200 at wheel works... I can't remeber the exact deal. ACE makes good rims at affordable price I think... and these tires are the best I could find. They grip like NOTHING!

BeatYaAll: thanks for the info. I've noticed that already my rear fenders scrape on the edge of my tires and I see the little silver shine on the tire's edge. It's usually from city bumpy roads and me driving crazy. But I do need much tighter suspension in the back.

I will look into adjustable... and I think it's really time for a tint job!... I've had enough comments about the tint hehe! :-)

Thanks

Ramiel

Ooh! Ooh! You've got 235's? Iv'e got questions!

Hi,

What width rims?

What offset?

What kind of tires?
Also, I'm guessing you got the tires/rims after the springs and shocks so you don't know whether the rear rubbing would happen with stock springs & shocks, right?

I know my 245's are 10inches wide. My rims are ACE brand they are Spade model in HyperBlack. I don't know their width etc.

I usually have a lot of stuff in the trunk, and when I drive it hits... when my car hit really bad I had someone in the back seat. I think the stock rear suspention really sucks. I need something really tight for the back. I'm going to be shopping around for something adjustable and I'll wait around and keep reading to see what people have done.

THanks

Ramiel

WOW!

245s! They are to be precise 9.645"

and the Potenza 245/40/18 is a near perfect match for the CL-P in terms of preserving the overall circumference.

But I gota hand it to ya for tryin em out..
cuz I thought they would be too wide..

Ramiel, I can't tell from the pics you have
but do they extend out beyond the fenders in the front or back?

My rims are Volk Racing SE 37A's sized 18x7.5" with an offset of 48mm...my rubber are Pirelli P7000SS sized 235/40/18

I had the rims and rubber b4 I lowered the car, I never ever had a problem with rubbing b4 the suspension work.

Well, I have had people in the car with 235/45ZR17-W97 Toyo Proxies on stock wheels.
They really stick *and* never rub (even with 4 inside). However, they don't look as beef as Astroboy's pics. There is something about wide wheels.

I really like the Volk (thanks for the suffix) 37A on Astroboy's car, etc.

Tire Rack (or another tire dealer) had a page (can't find it) that had the width of tire section with a given increase/decrease in wheel size. The 235's on the 7" rims almost give back some of their section width (from the relatively narrow wheel).

Are you guys rubbing on the side wall *and* only on the inner fender?

BTW, the S-02s are killer in the dry!
