I have a 2003 acura cl type s that i want to change the lights out of as they are showing condensation when it rains. I like the look of the 01 better and am thinking of switching over and ordering those instead Will these just intechange or are there any other parts that i would need?

 

I am taling about the headliht housing. Do the lights fit in correctly or did they change and comncetors or anything?

 

Yes, they fit without issue. The same is not the case for the tail lights, but the only change with the headlights through the years was the color of the housings. They all use the same D2R bulb.

 

The 01 HL is definitely different than the 02/03.

The difference is the bottom edge of the HL to bumper body line. The 01 is straight vs 02/03 have a simi circle intruding in to the bumper.

 

That may be true for the HL, whatever that is, but the CL that we're discussing is not different.

 

I think hl is headlight not sure ill order the 02 to be safe

Correction my post #4 does not apply to cl. That only applies to tl.

So all cl HL to front bumper body line is same... straight. The core support part number are same for 01-03 so that means the HL mounting points will be the same.

That means you can use any cl light you want as far as mounting.

Sorry for the confusion.

 

the 01-02 CL headlights look much worse than the 03, which is why people tend to upgrade to 03 headlights or paint the housing black like the 03. But it's all personal preference in the end I guess.

 

I bet you could find someone on here that would gladly trade your 03 lights for their 01/02 lights. I know I would.

 

let me know guys I live in mass I would love some nice cleared ones if anyone has ones, I trade for them I am nervous that if they were done and not sealed well the same will happen. Let me know and Ill consider it if anyone lives around here and wants to trade. Would also trade for a oem spoiler preferably nighthawk black pearl.
