0-60 times

I am sure this has been covered a thousand times, but i see numbers all over the place (6.2 - 6.7 sec 0-60 for stock CLS), which one is right?

also, as a side note, i see some people have tested their CLS and it has less than 260 hp. is that because their are different way to rate hp, or is that number inflated?

With 0-60 I would say somewhere in the middle like 6.4. Now with horspower it is well known that 260hp is at the crank, not at the wheels. Most stock CL-S dyno at around 200-205hp at the wheels. This loss is from a poorly designed auto tranny. With the new 6sp I hope it will dyno 230 @ the wheels.

The 6spd should be good for 1/2 tick off the 60 time...should be pretty interesting against the Altima.

Well depends on how you look at it and considering you live in Rockville and if you drive on 495/270 then stick would have sucked for you due to heavier traffic in MD than VA.

It's a love hate relationship...you love the ability to control the car but hate shifting back and forth in traffic.

To each his own, but I have always been of the view that traffic suck equally regardless of tranny type.

haha, YES, GOOD POINT! when i had a 50 mile commute to work on 270 and 495 (going between stopped and 10 mph for a large portion on 270), i would have killed for an auto...

(i was driving an manual escort GT back then, second best car in the world, behind a CLS haha)
