Has anyone ever remove a fuel tank off a 2nd Gen Acura CL? If so, what had to be removed to drop the tank? How difficult was the job? I have a new tank that needs to be installed. Any help is deeply appreciated. Thanks.

I had to replace the tank on my 2001 Honda Accord (basically a clone of your car). Unfortunately, after looking at the job, I decided, because the entire rear suspension needs to be removed to drop the tank, I was better off paying a shop to do the work as I simply didn't have enough time to do it myself.

I had mine replaced a few years ago. Initially I was going to do it by myself...but then ended up having a mechanic do it as it requires dropping the subframe to access the tank. The mechanic was able to do this all on his driveway on jack stands.
