I don't have any experience here, so I can not help, but as the owner of a '96 3.2TL with 229K miles, I'm interested to learn more about your pump failure. What were the symptoms and how did you isolate the problem to the fuel pump?

Did you check the fuel injection relay it's about $70 underneath the dash board next to the driver's door side about the interior fuse box. The fuel tank is held on by two straps with the straps on but not tightened down you will need something to pry the fule tankdown like in my case I used a crowbar. You can stick the crowbar in the hole where the floater for the fuel tank is. The problem with this fuel tank is that the manufacturer thought it was a good idea to put some kind of adhesive between the chassis/frame and the fuel tank so it will be difficult but not impossible. I suggest you do the job right and don't use an aftermarket fuel pump to have further problems down the line just my advice as I have already went through two pumps. Buy the denso brand available at rockauto.com or such websites. Make sure your fuel injection relay is in working condition or all work would be done in vain. Also change your fuel filter don't forget that. Mine was completely clogged and switch up which gas you buy it really does matter trust me. Good Luck if you need any more help let me know.
