**Tein S/S coilover groupbuy**

Hi guys,

I've been able to secure a groupbuy for the Tein S/S coilovers for the accord v6/cl/tl. These coilovers are 16 way adjustable for dampening and are ride and height adjustable. The price is good for a minimum order of 10 sets. It is $850.00 per set shipped anywhere in the continental U.S.. Payment may be made via money order or personal check. Paypal can also be accepted but would require a 3% surcharge. I've done numerous groupbuys on the board with great success. Let's try to obtain the same results with this groupbuy. If you would like to obtain special pricing on Tein coilovers for a different application, please contact me. We may be able to count it towards the minimum 10 sets for the special groupbuy rate.

*Please contact me for local pickup pricing ( I am located in southern california).

If there are any questions please feel free to pm or email me @ tyfuun@hotmail.com.

I will keep this thread updated with the participants of this groupbuy.

thanks,
arnold

what's the story with the in-cab controller solenoids for the rear? i've read everything form it will fit - it won't fit - it will fit with some modding to the rear deck - it will fit some 01 cls' based on when they were built.

I'm sorry but the response that I have received from Tein is that the EDFC will not work with the Type S/S coilovers for the Accord V6/TL/CL. Apparently the stepping motor has a different pattern than the adjustment control of the coilovers.

Hmmm, If I could get like $550 for my Nex coilovers (have around 6k miles on them) from someone, I would be in.

I'd like to try the Teins now. The Nex are nice but I think they're a little too soft for me now that they're broken in (still much stiffer than stock suspension, but I want more adjustability to stiffen it up even more).

Hmmm. Tempting but I'd have to sell these Nex first to afford Teins.

Plus they offer that 16-step stiffness adjustment that is independent of ride height, right?

yes sir...

I don't have exact specs, but I have my lower perch sitting slightly lower than the middle and I'm about 1-1.25 inches lower than stock. I'm assuming I could go close to stock height if I wound the perch all the way up, and probably a 2-2.5 inch drop all the way at the bottom.

ALL

This is a good price. I had a friend that owned a shop hook me up about two months ago and he charged my $900 shipped. That was the best deal then...this is definitely the best deal I've seen so far, now!

Groupbuy update

Ok here's the latest update so far. We are almost at the 10 minimum needed for the groupbuy. I will set next Monday, August 5 as the end of the groupbuy. We need 1 more person to be commited to the groupbuy. If we can't get the 10 required I'll see what kind of deal I can pull.

Here's the list of paid and or interested people.

1. Peiquinglong- paid
2. twonuts- in
3. jrock- in if he can sell his nex's
4. acuraboy-?
5. austin519-?
6. MrHyde-in
7. phat32-in
8. bobawah-in
9. Eddie-in
10. [TL]ridah-in

If anyone would like to be placed on or taken off the list please PM me.

Thanks guys, let's make this work.

So let me get this straight.... you can set the ride height on the car to whatever you want (let's say 1.5" for arguments sake). Then, seperately, you can adjust the stiffness? Meaning that you could be 1.5" lower, yet close to stock ride? Is that right? Sorry for my ignorance regarding coilovers.....

Yes you are correct sir

Arnold, you also may want to go over to V6accord.com

It looks like they are trying to get a group buy together for this, but it hasn't happened yet. They have alot of people wanting. SO i think you could get this going.

The 16 way adjustment is a tiny little knob on top of each strut. I believe it controls the amount of rebound in each strut. If you crank it all the way clockwise it is on the stiffest setting. With each click counter-clockwise it becomes softer.

So yes, you can have your car lowered 1.5" and ride close to stock. Although I wouldn't recommend this setting. I have my car dropped 1-1.25" and I have it slightly stiffer than stock. Yet I'm bottoming out more because there is less travel than the stock spring/shock combo.

aren't the pretty...

I'll have to check on availability for the S/S model for the RSX. Last time I checked it wasn't released yet. I know for sure that they offer the Type HA which would cost you $1200 shipped. I'll find out about the S/S for you later today.

Am I correct to assume that majority of the people on this board thinks that Tein is one of the best choices for suspension upgrades for the CLS?

If not, what is the best opion?

Yes, it is a general opinion that Teins are one of the best setups out there right now. Deffinetly the priciest for sure

Tein coilovers are one of the best options out there for coilovers systems that will fit the cls. Tein's are actually pretty affordable if you compare them to Zeal's. Zeal's are extremely good coilovers also. Personally for bang for the buck Tein's can't be beat, IMO.

**Bad news**

Apparently Tein has backordered the Type SS for our application and my distributor does not have enough stock to fulfill our group purchase. The next container will not be in until August 15. For those that have paid, please let me know what you'd like me to do. I can either hold the money until the product comes in or I can refund the $$ to you asap. I will definitely continue to pursue the groupbuy as soon as the product is available.

thanks and sorry for the hassle,
arnold
