first of all:

second of all:

the only place the flag should be on is a pole. Not a car, clothes, bottom of a TV screen with the it morphed with a logo.

Agreed.
Besides, that engine will throw a rod before it leaves the lot. :P

You'd be surprised at how good those damn Vipers are with reliability. Compared to my BMWs that I've owned and with the Vipers that my friends have owned, I think the reliability would go to the Vipers because my friends' Vipers' haven't been in the shop as much as my BMWs.

My Acura rattles and creaks more than my Viper does....the SVS Viper is cool for its intended purpose, used it in their ads and brought it to Viper/Mopar events.

I'm pretty sure the internals are somewhat modified. It's somewhat like the Hennessey Viper since their twin turbocharged.

Weird, I read a thread on some BMW board earlier today where some dude in a Carerra S (with modded twin turbos) raced a Viper and the Viper's engine blew up.

I also remember reading several years ago where Road&Track (or was it MotorTrend) took a Viper out on a test drive and it threw a rod before they could finish putting it through its paces.

Those are just the readings that stick in my mind. Plus the fact that it's a Dodge...and Dodge is related to Crystler of all car companies.

But other than that I'd LOVE to have a Viper someday. Still one of my favorite cars.
