$70 for a radio code? Ya right! Grrrrrrrrrr

So my moms 01 TL got a new tranny last week at Los Gatos Acura! The radio needs the code to work again because as most of you guys know, they unplug the battery. The dealer that you buy the car from MUST record the radio code in their files, for problems like mine. Stevens Creek Acura did not do that, and not want me to pay their service guys $70 to take out my radio, scan the serial #, and get my code. I was like no fuckin chance. I am waiting for the GM of the dealership to call me back to see what they want to do! What do u guys think. Should I have to pay them for their mistake?:o :o

Nope. You should have the code anyway in your owners manual. Don't you? It should have come in a little plastic drug bag.

You should have gotten a card when you bought the car. Copied it and put on file at your home. I don't think its your responsibility for a moron dealerships lack of ! Call the Acura Corporation and complain !

Dude, call up acura customer care and complain, that is complete bs, if they ever tried to charge me for a code I would punch the guy. Sounds like it is time ofr a new dealer, I drive 150miles to get my car serviced and it is worth every mile.
