Ripped. Even the 45k was $348 for me (coolant change, brake fluid purge, filters, etc). And I'm in the People's Republic of Kalifornia! Sorry man.

I just had my 30K maintenance completed also. They originally quoted me $510, but I eliminated some of the extra crap that pads the cost and got them down to $310 before taxes.

They performed an oil change, replaced my brake fluid, transmission fluid, air filter and one other item that escapes my memory...for $310. I figured I'd get the necessary maintenance done, and screw the rest. My dealership had just replaced my brakes and rotors, so anything dealing with that could be skipped. And most everything else in the manual was just checking certain parts for wear anyways.

But originally, $525 sounds about right. Sucks, huh?

Do a search for 30k service and you'll see that the prices are all over the board. You paid on the high end. My dealership also charges a premium for service, but all the other dealerships within 50 miles or so of me charge the same amount.

Just be glad you don't own a new porsche 911 or Ferrari

I know what you mean, 525 for a 30K service is kinda extreme for a $30K car. If you can afford a $100K GT3, then I guess you don't need to worry about what the service costs. "If you have to ask, you probably couldn't afford it".

I think that the MA/RI dealers are in cahoots (I call shenanigans!!). They all want ~$151 for the 7500, 15000, etc oil change/tire rotation (yep, I called around). My dealer does offer a free non-acura loaner (enterprise), but I could get that myself for 20-30bucks.

Needless to say, I'll probably be rotating my tires and changing my oil in the driveway for the 22.5K service. Bulldog01 gets his done for ~$89 in NH.

Hmmm... that reminds me, I gotta call up my cousin's friend who works at the honda dealership... Last time I talked to him he said he had just installed a CT SC on a S2000

I still don't understand why you guys still go to a dealer for service. Dealers are just a waste of money for service. I could understand if you had a high $$ car, but an Acura(or honda really) I'm not saying trust the jiffy lube kids either, but a good shop that does good work would be so much cheaper. I never go to the dealer for anything but warranty work. That applies to every car I ever had. Unless I had some copon for cheap work, or a some free service.

I paid around 270$ for my 30k service w/o the oil/filter change. They did the tranny and everything. This was for the 6 speed. I will see if they want to do my 45k server on Tuesday when I drop off my car. If so I will let you know...

Different places, different prices, makes no real sense.

I see it time and time again that some people ask the members AFTER they have already commited themselves. Ask the members FIRST before you make your move. You deserve what you get by doing it your way

Ditto here. I go to them for warranty work. I know a local shop that specializes in imports and they do a great job. Now that my warranty has expired and if I need any work done, I will go to my local shop Beside, you pay lot of money for many inspections on your 30K that anyone with a pair of eyes can do it!!! I do all my inspections when I change my oil It pays to be knowledgeable!
