This is a simple but costly story. I was driving to work on a back road, going about 60, just cruising. I go over this hill, and I usually slow down just in case there is a cop, so I downshift, and I decide to give it some gas instead of slowing down, of course there is a cop. Got me for 75 in a 45 zone. 30 over. $233. In Nj, if you pay $130 on top of the ticket, they will make the points go away, but theres a limit on how many times you can do that. This sucks!!!!

 

what the hell? you can pay extra to make the points go away?..doesn't that ruin the whole point of "points".

anyway, i feel for you...damn coppers!

 

Of course you can "plea bargain." Here in Kansas, once a year, you can pay double the t
raffic citation and leave the courthouse with an expensive parking ticket. I would try to keep this off your record if you can.

 

talk about rewarding the rich and affluent. gives them the excuse to speed with less disregard.

here in missouri you can plea bargain as many as you wish, i have 4 very expensive parkingtickets / noise violations

 

That sux man! I got a 50 in a 25 residential zone...was only $250...Here in La, they give you the option to go to a damn saturday defensive driving course that erases it off your record. Catch is, you can only do this once every couple of years.

 

Same for Arizona...

 

I go to court in October to work all this out...it sucks!!
