You can find previous gen A4's in this range - not sure about the realiablity though.

Passat can be had for a little above

Dare I say you might be able to scoop up a used '01 CL near this price?....of course, you have to worry about the tranny crap.

Always the Accords, Camry's etc. around this price too.

jetta's are really small inside...
an Accord would be a good bet, I suppose the Volvo would be ok, but out of warranty they can be a bitch!!
