Have you ever seen an all-star NHL game? Terrible hockey. The game we saw between the USA and Canada, was a great game with physical contact. This was no all star game. You clearly don't know you're hockey.

Hockey ROCKS! It is the hardest hitting, fastest game on earth (when players are motivated as in the Olympics). Millions play and watch hockey. The world can't be wrong.

I know this is way off topic, but ever notice how Asian women have pubic hair that doesn't curl? it just sticks out like its been permed straight. weird.

Oh, and since the Canadians won gold, I guess Gretzky has nothing to b!tch about anymore!! I heard he was saying that the games were anti-Canada and it was some sort of US propoganda that brought in that sentiment....IT'S JUST HOCKEY PEOPLE!!!!! But congrats to Canada and all you Canadians, eh?!!!
Gretzky had choices words, but it is true about how others want the Canadians to fail. Just look at the women's final in hockey...US ref call 8 straight penalties?? The Canadian women's hockey squad played over 1/3 of the game less one player.

In Canada, it's NOT just hockey...it is one of the most scared things our country has (trust me, we don't have many & Celine Dion doesn't count).

It's like saying after your US basketball team loses in the Olympics...would you say..."It's just basketball"???

I'm not flaming, but hockey in our country is treated with the highest respect & honor...just like your beloved baseball or basketball...

i think this is one of the greatest hockey game to watch ever...both teams with supreme defensive stops and superior offense power and it is way more fun to watch than the all star game becoz it doesn't ahve any defense at all...

canada clearly had the game right from the beginning as they were keep attacking the US...coach don cherry rulez!!

Remember the Coca-Cola commercial? "He shoots, He scores!!! Canada wins the Gold Medal"...can't believe it finally comes true for us...sure they did hear us!!

anyone went on a parade yesterday?

No I don't really know hockey but what I meant was it is all NHL players and good ones at that. It takes away from what the olympics used to be in my opinon. It was all just another ploy to get the United States more medals in the Summer Olympics and they carried it over to Winter Olympics. No Miracle On Ice anymore...unless Belarus happens to win

I agree it was a great game and not to take anything away from Canada or the United States...but how much does it REALLY mean that Canada's professionals are better than the United States professionals? I can't understand that...

Chadhova, the Soviets had always deployed professional hockey players in for their Olympic teams. Their players were all professionals from the Red Army. This is perhaps the reason why the USSR dominated hockey for so many years in Olympic hockey.

Now that the Olympics relaxed the rules the playing field is even. The best athletes representing each country competing against others fair and square.

I hope you Canadians are happy!

Happy with that Gold Medal?
Happy with ending your 50 year drought?

Well someone owes me a Captain, and a team high scorer. Both Yzerman and Shanahan were injurde inyour little quest for Gold. Shanny broke his thumb and will play, although his shot will most likely be for shit for the next couple weeks.

Yzerman has to have his knee scoped to find out what the damage is.

We're trying to get a Stanley Cup here folks. Give us a break okay.

Chadhova, just take the popluation of the US vs Canada, alone, that should tell you how much better our hockey program has to be. 10 years ago, 75% of all NHL'ers were from Canada, today, it's down to 50%. The other biggest contribution of players is from Europe.

Not only the Russians were using "professional" players, but Finland and Sweden has been as well for years.

that is crap, I heard about stevy Y, but didn't know about Brendan...
Curtis Joseph broke his hand yesterday and will miss 6-8 weeks now too...
I also hear that Theo Fleury may quit the NHL if the refs dont start giving him the respect he deserves???

Well, I spoke somewhat, to soon.

Steve is still out. But Brendan sucked it up and scored 2 goals last night. Further proof that hockey players are some of the toughest SOB's on the earth.

Except Theo.

Could someone PLEASE tell my hockey team. "YOU'RE IN THE PLAYOFFS"

Damn Red Wings are really pissing me off. Vancover is FOR REAL you dummies. And you can't let them keep beating you to the puck. You fockers need to hit something, ANYTHING! And stop spending so much time trying to setup the perfect pass, or the perfect shot. Vancover is young and fast, they're on top of you monkeys before you know it.

ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Wings Power Play #2 in the regular season. Canucks PK something like 15th. Not that you would know it, given the last 2 games.

My point? Regular season stats mean dick!

Last year the Wings hammered the Kings in the first 2 games. Kings went on to win the series. Hmmmm.......

You're right. Regardless of who has won, it's been an exciting couple of games.

I have to try to get a nap in today. Being in the western conference SUCKS. The game doesn't start here until 10 pm. I have to be up for work at 4:15. Very little sleep tonight, but I can't wait for game 3. Good Luck to the Canucks.
