Will These Fit?

I sold my 04 TSX to a friend and he want to throw some rims on it. The one he wants comes in 18x7.5, 48 offset, and 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 18x8.5, 30 offset, and 5x114.3 bolt pattern. He already lowered the car on Tein basic coilovers. Is it possible to put the 18x7.5 on the front with the 18x8.5 in back?

the ones in the back will sit in .3 of an inch more - i think unless i'm doing the math backwards...

the offset makes the inch sit .7 of an inch back more but the rim is an inch wider.

1.0-.7=.3?? Right??

oh as a side note...kinda strange to go staggered on FWD...

So my friend can;t get those because they wont fit at in the rear. He is now looking at a set that is 18X8 with a 40mm offset. Im pretty sure these will fit but I just wanted to get a second opinion.

Thanks

oh my bad - i thought you were asking how they would sit compared to one another. not if they would fit. I would think the 18x8 with a 40 offset should fit. Thats a fairly average wheel size.

Thanks a lot

The place where he was going to buy the wheels said that an offset lower than 42 would not work. I checked on tirerack.com and they have offsets as low as 37mm for the TSX.
