When did you change out your stock tires? I'm thinking about changing out mine but there's still a lot of tread left on the them. I don't want to throw away tires they are still good.
There's definately signs of aging. They're loud and bumpy on the freeway. I would say the grip is poor because they fight the steering wheel when i turn.

Mine lasted less than 25k
I hated the OEM tires on my car. Very over rated. I was pissed that they only lasted less than 20k for a > $200 tire. On my previous cars, 02 Audi A4 (mechanical POS), and 94 Ford Probe GT (great car), I use to get around 60K on my tires. I live in MA and the stock tires sucked in the snow. I tried the Primacy's, I now have a set of Goodyear Eagle GT's that I like better in the rain. Haven't had then in the snow yet.
My $0.02, worth what you paid for it.

I changed my stockies at 47,000 miles. They were at the wear bars, but that was just a coincidence since I recently purchased the car and would have replaced them anyway.

it's a car-drive it
luckily my husband and I have 2 other vehicles and he has 2 motorcycles. When I lived in NJ/Pa I never had snow tires-just made sure the all-season's had excellent thread-never had a problem driving the hills of the Poconos in snow-My mom drives very little so I use her car when at her house. How is your house hunting going?

sounds likes I am in the minority-I loved the Oem tires-Hate the Yokahama avids 4-s ones I now have-road noise, lose traction easy on wet pavement, lose mpg, etc. When I switched tires-the thread life was 4/32 and 74,000 miles.

planning to change out my '06 TSX's factory tires this next week, whole car right now has just over 31k miles on it. i'm not quite sure what i'm going to replace them with, probably just another set of michelins r215/50-17 XL on my sweet stock rims. I dunno, 30k on this last set seems a little low, might be nice to have something that lasts a little longer.

mines got me to 32K with rotation every 5k miles and tire pressure checked every month...but then again i drive this car hard through the turns so we can add another 3k if i would have taken it easier

Mine have about 55K on them, and I just ordered the Michelin Primacy MXV4's from TireRack yesterday. Tread on the stock tires is okay except for the inner edge (on all 4) where I am down to slick rubber practically. With winter on its way, I thought it was a good time to change them out. I rotated at every other oil change.

Advanced
I have 53k on mine but they need to be replaced. The road noise is very pronounced and in wet weather I do lose traction sometimes when accelerating hard. I am not completely down to the wear bars but between jobs right now so don't want to put out the money just yet. Probably going to get the Bridgestone Pole Positions though.

replaced at ~32k miles. was planning on changing them out next year at approx ~45k miles but that would've been kinda' pushing it. i changed them out because one of my tires popped and i wasn't about to spend $250 on a tire i don't like...
tires were almost down to the wear bars, tread chunked and marbled, was loud, hard to balance, and offered little dry/wet grip even when they were new...
and yes, i had them rotated every 5k miles, checked tire pressure monthly.

Seems hard to believe (even for me), but the OE Michelins on the 07 are still going strong at over 80K miles. But...... they've been pulled for the winter (and this is the third winter, and from like Dec 1 to April 1) so the the actual mileage is less. The miles have been all highway by the way. We could probably get allot of this year from them too from the looks of them, but I'm not going to put them back on in the spring (I'm going to replace them with General Exclaim UHP tires in the OE size)(I've run a few sets of these in various sizes on various cars, and I'm convinced that they absolutely can't be beat for the money). I'm actually going to mount the Michelins on the OE wheels for my 05 and put them on it to sell it.
