upgrade to A-spec suspension?

i have a 2007 acura tsx and was looking at getting a rear sway bar for it, but i understand it puts too much stress on the mounts if you put one on with stock suspension, so my question is, is the upgrade from stock to an A-spec suspension worth it and would it put the suspension stable for a RSB

I'm curious where you heard that the Progress RSB taxes the stock mounts. There have been some reports of the Comptech RSB w/ the poly (non rubber) mounts causing a few mounts to crack, but I've never seen any reports here of problems with the Progress bar. I'd question whether the install would be worth it with the stock suspension though. Actually, I tend to question whether it's worth it period. I have one installed in my 05 with Koni yellow sports shocks under the OE springs. I realize that everyone here raves about the Progress rear bar, but I refuse to play penguin and go along to...... go along. I don't think the rear sway bar upgrade makes much difference on the street, so I suggest you think twice. It sounds cool to say you have it, but other than that...... This is just my opinion of course (an old SCCA Showroom Stock racer).

I don’t think one depends on the other to improve the feel of the TSX. The TSX is already a tight little ship right out of the box. I love the way my TSX handles with the A-spec suspension, Progress RSB, and Conti DWS tires. Improvements in all three areas (A-spec, RSB, tires) will improve the already high fun to drive factor. As good as the TSX feels, my RDX with sh-awd drive just a little bit better on the curves (hondata+Eibach springs+Conti DWS).

I’ve had A-spec + RSB for over 50,000 miles and 4 years with no squeaks or problems. The combo felt a lot better once I switched from OEM tires to Bridgestone Potenza Pole position and later to the Conti DWS about 7,000 miles ago.
