TL struts/springs on TSX?
One of my TSX struts blew when i ran neuspeed springs on oem struts this summer.
I was wondering if i can use use the 05 TL struts and springs?
Its hard looking for used tsx struts...and paying $255 CDN for each one it pretty costly....they seem to share most of the same part #s except for the strut itself and the springs...
If not possible... then i need to replace the one front strut, but not sure whether its best to check that one strut, change both front struts or all 4?
I cant be running my tein coils in the winter since we get so much salt in Toronto that they will rust
thanks

Yah...i was thinking of aftermarket for shocks as well..but unfortunately its only konis right now.
The cheaper aftermarket shocks such as Tokico or KYB doesnt have any that will fit the TSX...
Its a waste to get koni's of $$ as its only for the winter set-up...once th snow melts the coils r back on...

With the winter road conditions im afraid of the coils seizing from the road salt.
Im not sure whether they can withstand the salt in toronto becuase th city uses tons of salt ...
several shops told me to dont risk running the coils in th winter...

EDIT**
Koni's from TireRack are like $146ea and the OEMs are $106ea, so personally, if your drop is over 1", you'll more than likely just eat through another set of OEMs.

Got rid of the neuspeeds...just want to run stock springs/struts ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The neuspeed springs were the sport version?? They dropped about 1.5 or so...i didn thinkg they would blow the oem struts in 3-4 months I had them on for this spring/summer...
Shipping from the US from companies are a PITA..... duties and rates are expensive.
I guess my option would be to buy two oem front struts then.
Thanks for the help though...

HAHA... yeah, OEMs would be the way to go. I'm waiting to see if my OEMs fail. About 15k on them with the Comptech springs and thus far no problems.
