Tires wont "hold" balance

07 TSX, 18K....front tires will NOT hold balance.

Three times balanced on a road force balancer, two times on a "regular" balancer, still get vibrations to varying degrees right out of the shop door.

I noticed each time the wheels were balanced the weights were placed in different spots. And yes...I heated the tires up real good before going to the shop and the balance(s) were all done within 20 minutes.

WTF????!!!???? Bad tire?

Bad tire and/or bad rim. Is this a problem since taking delivery of the car?

Have you tried a different tire shop to do the balance?

Four balance jobs....two at one dealer, a third at another and fourth at an independent shop.

Could be something other than a tire. Axles, wheel bearings, CV joints, ball joints...

That would be a nightmare. Hope it's just a bad tire. At least he's under warranty.

Its gotta be the tire becuase when I rotate them, problem goes away.

So do tires sometimes not hold a balance due to a broken belt or something?

Sometimes it won't hold a balance if it's bent. You can try to measure the wheel. Measure the diameter of the wheel and make sure that it's consistent as you turn the wheel. Do this on the backside/inside of the wheel .

Yeah, that sounds like either bad tire or bent rim. Any decent tire place should be able to check the runout on the rim.

Sigh...looks like I got a dealer fight ahead of me. Of course, when they balanced last time I got "problem fixed." It IS OK..but there is still a vibration and very slight shimmy. I feel there should be none. There wasnt any on my 72 Impala back in the day, there shouldnt be one on my brank new Acura.

Does it shake when coasting or when accelerating? Or braking?
