The tires on the 06
I still havnt picked up my car, waiting for monday to come around, but i was wondering...are the michellin stock tires any good in rain/snow/dry weather. I read some reveiws on tirerack, and found that they didnt have very good ratings, which kindof sucks for them to be putting them on a acura. Hopefully they arnt to bad and last..

Tires are rather mediocre for summer driving, decent enough in the wet, and sufficient for light snowfall.
Since you probably get more than a light dusting of snow every once in a while, a set of dedicated winter tires is recommended.
Of course, as I'm sure Dan Martin knows now, sometimes, even winter tires just aren't enough.

I just got nokian wr, the treads look ugleeee but They do their job as an all season tire still, just better for snow and rain.
Not crazy snow but in buffalo they will do.

I replaced mine at 2k miles (traded in for $50/tire at Discount Tire Co.). If you don't want to mess with summer/winter tires and want a good set of all-seasons, I can't recommend the Yokohama Avid V4s enough.

we had about 6" of snow here and the stock ones sucked big time. no traction at all it's winter here and haven't had the car in summer so can't tell you about rain but the tread pattern makes it look like a good summer performance tire

I found the Michelins to be decent dry tires, but slick in the rain and snow. Not dangerously so, just need to be mindful of it (and need to know what you're doing in snow). I just put on a set of Avon Tech M550's from Tire Rack and, so far, I love them. They're considerably quieter than the Michelins and the ride is more comfortable (they're not XL load rated), even with a little more pressure in them.
Haven't had snow or rain, and I'm still breaking the Avons in, so I can't tell you much about performance handling -- plus, I'm driving on the street so it's not like I'm doing the slalom at 65 mph.

Michelin Pilot HX MXM4:
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 (Max Performance Summer Tire):
The OEM Michelins look like what they are, a 'Grand Touring Passenger Tire'. Such tires are designed to be quiet, comfortable, and have good treadwear. Grip (be it wet, dry, or snow) is not a priority. However, the OEMs aren't even quiet, although they do last a long time. I got stuck in less than a quarter inch of ice on three separate occasions with the OEM Michelins, and said enough is enough and bought real winter tires.

I want to replace my tires. I didn't expect that you could get that much for them! I've already put over 6K miles on mine, tho. How much wear before they don't want 'em? Eh, I might have to wait a while...
I'm not too comfortable with the OEMs in the rain, and they don't get enough traction in the dry for my tastes. It's amazing what a difference a real sticky set of tires can do.
I expect that 90% of the buying public will be completely satisfied with the longevity of the tires, though.
