Tire size which one's best?

Okay, some guy in the black market is selling a set of rims with tire package for not a bad price. The tires are Federal. I have not heard much about these tires, are they even any good? He is selling the Wheel tire package with 235/40/18 would these fit better than 225/40/18? I know the difference than the OEM is about --.02 for the 235/40/18 and 225/40/18 is about -1.5

so my question is which tire is best on an 18.75 wheel with 48+ offset?

please your suggestions are welcome.

Go with the 235's. It will fill the wheel well better, have a slightly larger contact patch, and it's the correct diameter.

That's the best choice.

I assumed 235's were a better choice...but why are their many members here running with 225's when they be running 18 inch wheels?

btw, I'll be lowering my car about 1.75 to 2 inches, would I have to worry about rubbing with 235's?

On a 7.5 wheel width and a +48 offset, I would say your chances of rubbing are minimal.

I'm runnin' 18x8 235's 49et. I'm only about 1.2 drop. But, when I load the car, no rubbing.

Oh and i chose 235's for the OD, and the wider contact patch....best of both worlds

I think people run 225's for the look...sure 235's are closer to the stock diameter, but they look too beefy on 18's...and if you're running a 7.5 wide wheel, 235's will make your 18's look smaller...225's look better on 18's imo...also 225's are a popular size, so there are many options to choose from and if you plan to drop it that low i would go with 225's...
