Tire size for new rims

I read the FAQ's but I am looking for an opinion on what size you think I should get. I have 18 X 7.5 inch rims coming and I wanted to put 235 40 18's on there. I see a lot of people using 225 40 18's. My question is, do you think the 235's are too big for the 7.5 inch rim or should I go for the 225's.
Thanks

Im running 235's on my 18x8's and they look very slightly "stretched" so im guessin' 235's on a 18x7.5 should work.

Plus you keep your Overall Diameter.

You can check the tire spec rim width range on sites like www.tirerack.com Brands may vary in rim width range.

Example for BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW-2 235/40 18: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...e1=yes&place=1

go with the 235's that what i got on mine over all diameter is more critical for you with the speedo , rpm , transmission, etc. the 225's are going to be to small.
