Tire recommendations?
I've not posted much on this forum but I have read a TON and respect the opinions and experiences of the members. I have had my TSX (2006 6MT) for about 13 months and I'm still using the crappy Primacy MXM4 tires that came on it when I purchased it. They are bald and will be dangerous if it ever rains here in AL again.
My car is completely stock and I drive in a fairly spirited manner. Not unsafe at all but let's just say that I believe in conservation of momentum. I also do a lot of highway driving. I have put ~36K miles on in the last 13 months of ownership.
Things I'm looking for:
Dry weather grip
Wet weather grip
Doesn't go out of balance quickly
Anyone have any recommendations of what might work well for me?

Also, I really like a tire that has quick reflexes so soft sidewalls are not something I'm keen on. And snow is not an issue. It only snows three or four times a year here and I can just drive my truck on those days.

Only had them for a day but I fell in love with the car again on the first drive with Michelin Pilot Sport AS3's, they grip like a summer tire but are fine for colder weather, pretty much the best performing all season except for snow.

Thanks 350. I was reading the reviews on Tirerack and so far they seem very positive. These are a little pricier than the others so I would want them to last a little longer or be superior in some other way. Maybe somebody else who had them for longer than you will chime in.

2004 TSX NAV 5AT MSM
I am getting ready to replace mine as well. I have a 2004 TSX. When it came time for me to get new tires 7 years ago in November 2007 I went with the Michelin Primacy MXV4. I'm not sure what the difference is between the MXM4 and the MXV4 is (besides the warranty being 5,000 less on the MXM4) but I decided to stick with what they originally came with since they seemed to perform just fine. I have nearly 67,000 miles on the MXV4's (they had a 60,000 warranty). Michelin doesn't seem to make the MXV4's for the TSX anymore but the MXM4's are available. I use an all-season tire because I live in Ohio and some winters we have to deal with snow.

I've heard the Continental DWS or DW's are both great. For your driving you might want the DW (Dry, wet), not the DWS (dry, wet, snow).
I have personal experience with General AS-03 and they're pretty good as well. I've used them for 2 summers now and they are quiet, fairly grippy, GREAT in wet weather, and they seem to be long-lasting.

The DWS and the AS-03 are both in that category, and the DWS came out on top of all tires in the category.

DWS is a solid choice considering, performance, tread wear and cost.

I'm on my 2nd set of Conti DWS on the TSX. I did try Bridgestone 960 for a while but the treadwear wasn't that great, below avg snow traction, and I couldn't cross rotate to even out wear. The TSX mostly see commuter duty back/forth to H.S. for my son. I like the DWS because of:
- perfect year round all-season solution from +95 degrees in summer to 2-3 snow days in the winter
- quiet, cross rotation helps even more
- very good to excellent traction in all conditions
- cool tread design
- can handle "spirited" driving when you want to
- a little lighter than OEM tires
I like the Conti DWS so much, I have them on my MDX and RDX.

Just to clarify, these tires work well [on a 2012 Focus, 6AT] if it's cold and dry, or cold and wet, but do not work at all in any amount, or type, of snow. Other than in the snow, they are great.

Sonny, who is a member here on AZ as well as an employee of Tirerack has said the Contis are better in the snow hands down.

They did better than I thought they would in snow, I was a little apprehensive to drive it at first but no issues. I figure if it's deep enough to be an issue you should stay home anyways.

For a great performance all season we like the Continental Extreme Contact DWS as others said above. The reviews online are overwhelmingly positive, and our customers always have great things to say about them.
