Tein H-Tech Users Chime in!!

Please give me some impression of H-Tech springs. I'm thinking of taking off Tanabe Sustec Pro coils and get h-tech.

No disrespect, but isn't it kind of backwards going from coils to just springs? Why would you want to do that?

Oh, I see. Are the Tokicos still in development? Or are they ready? Also your Tanabes are Sustec Pro S-OC-II or Sustec Pro S-OC? If they're the Pro S-OC-II, count me in as a potential buyer if you decide to sell them.

TEIN H or S-Tech spring w/ Koni Yellow shock are great.

I have the BuddyClub Racing Spec Damper on my car, and it's quite stiff. Then I tried to drive my buddy TSX w/ TEIN S+Koni Yellow, it was sooooooo Comfortable... and I'm serious too, I think my gf will love it. It does the goal of lowering the car, but still extremely comofortable. The handling sucks a bit compare to mine but if comfort is what you are looking for, you can't go wrong with it.

^^

Cool. So are you thinking that the combo springs/shocks would give you more performance than the Tanabes? Just wondering why you're thinking about changing them. I'm in decision right now as to whether go with Tanabes or A-Spec. The argument for A-Spec is that they are Acura parts and since I'm on a lease, the dealer won't have much to say when I bring it in for service.

The other thing is that I keep re-reading the threads and change my mind between those two every time I do!

i'm not looking for performance gain from spring/shock combo. i just don't have use for height adjustability so thinking to go for fixed one.

Whatever you smoked/shot-up/snorted before that post, please return it to your dealer.

I have a question for those with the H-tech's...

I bought a set that were used for under 10,000 miles before I got them. Will they still take time to 'settle' on my car? In other words, should I get an alignment 2 days after, or more like 2 weeks after, I install them this weekend? I don't want to waste time and money by getting two alignments if the springs were to settle after the first alignment, but I also don't want to ruin my tires with the out-of-spec toe settings that are a result of lowering without an alignment.

Opinions? Thanks!

probably it'll settle down even though they were used

I have the h-techs and love 'em. elegant drop but not so ridiculous that it can't get thru 6" snow although you do hear the snow scraping the bottom. gap between is about 2 fingers - female ones or about 1.5 male fingers.

had some pics posted here on another h-tech thread... looks sexy. didn't want anything aggressive cuz i used my ride to tow my sportbike plus i didn't want her looking like xzibit had pimped her out, after all, i sometimes have clients in her.

Emm...Minkl I'm have had Koni + Eibach combo before I got Sustec. The car should handle better with Koni + spring setup but the ride quality cannot be same as Tanabe. You will lose that comfort like stock.
