I'm going to be upgrading my suspension soon but I'm not sure what to get. I don't track the car, and likely never will. I do occationally enjoy a weekend drive through a few twisty roads, but am normally a relaxed, laid-back driver. I passionately hate the nose-dive and body-roll the stock suspension is producing even though I've already upgraded to the Progress RSB. (My stock suspension has about 90,000 miles on it so it's a bit overdue for an upgrade anyway) I drive the car about 750 miles a week, so I don't want an uncomfortable ride and am willing to sacrifice a little performance for it. The last thing I want is a suspension like the Mustangs have. (Very little roll, but a truely aweful ride) I'd like to lower the car to about a 1 finger gap and was thinking that Tein Basics would satisfy my needs since they have significantly higher spring rates and most people seem to like them.
Does anyone here have another suggestion that may work, or does it sound like Basics would be perfect for me?

 

basics are great...I have them on my car...I do wish I would have paid a little more for the SS though so I could adjust the dampening to a little more stiff

 

Tein Basics are great, I have them on my 04 TSX and they ride great. Mind you, I live in NYC where the streets have more holes than swiss cheese. You will not have OEM ride quality (obviously) but they're not terrible ride quality.

 

Really, TEIN Basics have pretty high spring rate already IMO. Are you trying to reduce body roll? RSB would probably a better fit no?

 

^^i bounce a little bit but thats understandable because im almost all the way down...like i said they are great and that was my only thing (not even really a complaint)....btw i have a 06 accord sedan with the 17mm TL rear sway bar also to help with cornering

 

I agree that the TEIN Basics are your best bet. Firmer than stock, but not stiff or jarring, adjustable ride height. You can set it at a 1" drop too or almost a 3" drop.
