Tein -- Basic vs. SuperStreet

Any one have the Tein Basic Coilovers ?

For the extra $200.00, is the SuperStreet worth the upgrade??

What are the main differences between the two, I was wanting to see if the extra $200.00 is worth it......

(FYI, I'm looking at the prices at TSXparts.com)

Thanks for the Help.

I have the basic, really solid. I doubt that anyone would bash their own coilovers... so your gonna get some pretty bias responses

The SS has adjustable damping while both setups have height adjustment. If you aren't sure what the damping adjustment is for and don't plan to go to the track, I'd suggest getting the Basics.

Hi, i was wondering the same thing about the difference. How is the dampening in the basics, what kind of ride is it? For a normal driver, would having the ability to change the dampening be useful?

Thanks

i have the ss and i believe having the adjustability was worth it, i jus thought that the basics wouldnt ride well enough or give me the performance i wanted.

They both ride the same.....the SS just allows more fine tuning. Both kits are almost the same. I usually tell people, the SS is better if you are a more picky person.

My roommate also purchased his Teins from Mr. HeelToe. Another satisfied customer.

I got my SS from Mr.Heeltoe along with my Ingalls camber kit (finally installed). My , go the extra mile for the SS if you can afford it. I set the SS to middle dampness when I first installed them. Then it took about a month to get adjusted perfectly for my everyday driving routine. It's worth the extra couple of bucks to be "comlpetely" happy with your ride. (But then again I am a picky person)

I'm an extremely picky person when it comes to certain things, so I got the Flex.

Btw, I also got my Tein from MrHeeltoe. Great service and support.

So are there three types of Teins? Basic, SS and Flex?

also- if I get springs or coilovers are they going to try and void my warranty? (I know about the law that if something happens and they can prove it was from the aftermarket part they can only do that) but is there a lot of risks putting springs/coilovers?

Reason I am most concerned is because I have an extended warranty 7 year/100K, and I pay $30 something I think more a month for it. Waste of money if they going to give me so much crap?

It will most likely void your OEM shock warranty, but the OEM shocks are still good, and your coilover mfr warranty should cover the aftermarket stuff.

One year. We are authorized to handle warranty requests, and are within a 45 min drive from Tein.

In 3 year of being a Tein dealer, we have only had to warranty one shock.
