Hmmm...most kumhos are pretty good. Surprising.

Sometimes I think Acura should have made the TSX come stock with this kind of ride height. Audi and BMW's have a little wheel gap while the TSX comes with like a 3-4 finger wheel gap. Thoughts?
Yes, I've noticed the same thing and agree with you..........

I've seen some posts complaining about added noise caused by the teins. I have not seen such posts about the tanabes. I wouldn't mind sacrificing a little comfort for the added performance of the teins, but I am not cool with noise from the suspension. I'd rather go with the tanabes in that case. Any thoughts?

People complain of noise because they are installing them wrong.

You hear more about Tein because there are 20x more Teins out there than Tanabes.

It is not going to be noisey if it is put in right, and there is not going to a be a sacrifice in ride comfort any more with one or the other.

I just installed a set of SOC-2 last weekend. They are definately a nice setup, but overall I have to say I really prefer the Tein system....both personally and professionally......

That install went very well! They definately ride nice. I am hard pressed to say they are any softer than Teins tho.

any chance of bottoming out with a 2-2.5"+ drop with tanabe's? wondering how low tanabe's can go before bottoming out with it's soft spring rate and all

or should i look into tein ss/flex or buddy club

You are going have more of a chance of bottoming out with the Tanabes at that height than the Teins. Tein and BUddy club have short stroke cases. The Tanabes are standard length (that's why they offer helper springs on teh soc...to take up the slack of the short srpings on long shocks).

And the Tanabes don't have a rate that is that soft. It is not much different than stock. And are only a little softer than the Teins. They will support the weight of the car without major issues.

But I still think Teins are the best ones for overall performance, ride, cost, and adjustability. The ride compromises is pretty insignificant.
