suspension height & daily driving
i searched enough to find that
many tsxers with Tein suspensions go from 1.25, 1.5, 175 to 2 inches down.
A-spec about .75 to 1.00 inches down.
I got Tein SS installing soon, and was thinking about dropping 2 inches, and here's a dumb/noob question ^^ ;;
Daily driving, the 2 inch drop is not gonna affect me much, as long as i'm always careful with curbs, house parking driveway ETC.
however, i'm a college student, and i prediodically (every 4 months) drive from MI to NJ, with tons of luggages in the trunk and backseat (fully loaded i can't see the back with back mirror).
if i lower my ride 2 inches and have all that luggage, is that gonna hurt suspension a lot? is it gonna do down as usual FROM the 2 inch drop?
I'm getting a Evo 2, and i dunno how much ground clearance i'll have after having Tein Ss 2 inches dropped ,all that luggage.
any comments? experience? Thank you.

I'm down about 2.5 inches and I did a big snowboarding trip about 8+ hours each way, with the trunk filled with crap and the back seats filled with people and stuff, and didn't have any problems. I'm on tein basics... The ride was def stiffer with all the stuff in there, but still damn close to stock.
As far as the Evo 2 i can't comment on that as I have stock exhaust but i can say that with everything stock and loaded down (it really looked like i was DUMPED when i had all the stuff in the car) i didn't bottom out once or have any probs with the suspension.

I daily drive mine while its sunny out with a 3 3/4in drop in the front and the rear as low as it will go on the flex.
I also have the evo2 exhaust and have yet to scrape it being that low.

I'm dropped on Tein SS with 1-fingergap all around...not sure what that equals to in inches, but I scratched my front lip about 5-7 times in a year. I live in Houston, TX, and we're pretty known for our crappy streets. Either way, the drop seems perfect, but you'll have to watch out for steep declines.

When I first installed my coilovers, I thought a 2" drop was alot. Turns out it really isn't.
The default height of the Tein Basics/SSs is 2.0"F/1.6"R, and that gives you about a 1 - 1 1/2 finger gap all around with stock wheels/tires. However, if you switch out to 225/40/18s (which is what I'm riding on now), the wheel gap increases back to 2 fingers.
This why I'm planning to lower my SSs a little more this weekend. I think a 1 - 1 1/2 finger gap all around is the perfect stance for the TSX.
