Stock everything just a little lower! Suggestions?!

I just picked up a 2006 tsx and I'm thinking of keeping the stock 17"rims and just lowering it. and no body kit. How low should I lower it? and how much would it cost? and bottom line would it look good enough? I'm trying to go for a very simple look. send pictures if you can? THANKS SO MUCH!!

Welcome to the forum. There are probably 6 to 7 million threads on suspension setups.
You should try searching first, you will get answers quicker that way. That said I always try to help people out. For suspension it really depends on 2 things:

1) Your budget

2) What your goal is

You seem to just want to lower the car, in which case I would suggest a couple of options:

TEIN basics. They are inexpensive and very good quality coilovers. They are height adjustable but you can't adjust the dampening. I chose the basics myself and am very happy with them as a daily driver.

You can buy them here

If you want to spend a little less than you can go with a shock and spring combo. Most of us agree that just doing springs is not the best idea. The nuespeed super cup kit is a good choice. It will be less expensive than coilovers but still provide height adjustment and dampening adjustment (i think)

You can find them here

An even less expensive option is the B & G setup though I don't know what the quality is

Here are some pics of my 2008 on TEIN basics with stock 17 inch rims which is what you asked for.

Also have a look at this thread for pictures and info on different setups.

Enjoy your TSX. You got a great car and the 06 model year offers a lot of engine modifications that we can't do on our 07 and 08 models.

I'm not sure how many inches the car is lowered probably 2.5 inches.... I just adjusted the height until it was a hair higher than I wanted so it owuld be perfect when it settled. Coilovers are great like that. I'll take a pic for you tomoorow after i put my new wheels on.
