It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Many people switched from the A-spec to other options for a lower ride height.

The A-Spec is good if you're looking for near stock appearance, but improved handling. If you want a really noticeable drop all around, you're better off going with an aftermarket coilover setup because the A-Spec's just under 1-inch drop is not enough for most people.

Where can you get an A-Spec suspension setup for the '06? I've seen them for the '04-'05 but was uncertain if those would mate up with the '06. Some websites are running deals on the whole setup for $450.

You're talking about just the suspension or the whole shebang? You have to get the badge.. To echo what was said above, it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Improved handling? Drop? Keep warranty coverage? etc.

The 04/05 and 06 suspensions are the same. The A-Spec from the 04/05 models fits the 06 without issue. I've had it on my car now for a few thousand miles and have not experienced any issues with it being from different model years.

Great info. Thanks CG. Are there any other places to buy it than the link I posted above?

I don't know of many places that carry it. I got mine used from another member here and I think that's probably the best way to do it.

Same here. You could try e-bay or Excellerate (one of our vendors) to see if he carries it.

only a 1" drop...(or about that). there's a 4" gap between the wheel and fender stock....is it worth it to pay 600 for this, or pay an extra 100 or 200 for the tein basics? how good are teins on comfort?

Could you please elaborate on the warranty coverage part?

If we get an aftermarket part it will void the warranty??

I read it as 25% off of $600 which is $450.

Just interested - have you tried to check out with this item - when added to my cart it comes up at $600 - then the screen to enter shipping info followed by 'Submit Order.'

Have you seen the 25% off of $600 reflected anywhere?

I think 600 is with the 25% off. Cause the listed price is 800 and their price is 600 which is 25% of 800.

In general, your warranty will not be voided unless the dealer can show that the problem is a direct result of using an aftermarket product.

What I was alluding to is that the A-spec suspension is an Acura product. If you have the A-spec suspension installed by a dealer then it will be under the dealer's warranty for (I believe) 2 years. If you order your brand new TSX with A-spec suspension then the vehicle's 4yr/50K mi. warranty will include the A-spec suspension. This may be important enough to some people to buy from and have their dealer install the A-spec.

Example: I have the A-spec which I bought from another member and which was installed by a reputable shop (not the dealer). There is a TSB (#06-007 ) for the right rear wheel camber being out of spec. The TSB calls for the replacement of the right rear suspension upper arm and then a 4 wheel alignment. If I go to the dealer to check my alignment and they find that the camber is out of spec I have a much better chance of convincing them to do the work per the TSB. After all, the A-spec is an Acura suspension component. However, if you have Tein or some other brand then the dealer will not do the TSB work for free because he will attribute the camber being out of spec to the non-Acura aftermarket suspension.

Thank you for clarifying things!
I want to start modding as soon as fall hits,
so I was worried about the whole warranty issue.

May I recommend you browse our Photo Gallery? You can pick up a lot of ideas for rims/wheels. You can also browse different drops to see what looks best to you. This is a good thread to start with: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13689
