A-Spec suspension, extra nuts?

I got my A-Spec suspension in the mail yesterday, I'm looking at the instructions.

the set came with 2 extra nuts which are in the instructions, but they don't say what they are supposed to replace.

so my question is what are these nuts for? this is for an 06 6mt.

thanks

Those nuts (I think they are called the king nut) go on the large bolt that goes through the bottom of the "coilover" and connect it to the rest of the suspension. There is only one place it can go. They have plastic inside them so you're not supposed to reuse the original ones. There is a really good diy thread on here for the install that I used. Search is your friend

the DIY talks about the extra nuts, but they say that it should have a plastic ring in them. the nuts that I received do not have a plastic ring in them.

did they change these nuts when they changed parts from the 04-05 to 06-08?

Those are new Damper fork pinch bolts. They are for the front damper fork. just replace the ones you remove with the new bolts . step 5 in the install instructions.

Any other questions, I just did the install about two weeks ago. It takes alot of muscle i was sore for a week after doing it. took me about 5 1/2 hrs.

I did mine a while ago and it wasn't as quick as I thought it would be. I actually took almost 6 hours. To me it was a pain, but the end result is worth it.

Some oem nuts have nylon inserts and some use crimped end for self-locking. The nuts in the pics above use crimped end. You can clearly see the crimped marks and slightly deformed end.
