So last night I punctured one of my rear tires. Since the damage is on the wall of tire, I was told by 2 tire shops that it can't be repaired. On tirerack.com the oem tire is $185. WTF! I really don't understand why these so-so tires are so damn expensive!
Anyway, I am not sure whether I should order it there ($33 shipping) or go to the stealership and have it replaced there. Anyone know how much acura will want for 1 oem tire? Or maybe there's a way I can get somewhere else cheaper??

OMG...you're avatar is truly frightening!!!
Sorry about your tire though. How many miles are on your tires? Maybe they're all worn enough to warrant a new set so you can get something else that's cheaper.

Sorry to hear that...
I've got a chunk missing in the sidewall on the right-rear on my '04, and while not leaking, will need to be replaced.
The dealer here wants $276 + tax (Canadian), so I'll definitely be looking online

I think that you'll get a lot of tsxer's on this blog to agree that possibly the best course of action to take is to replace & upgrade all 4 tires for about $500+/- and sell or keep the 3 OEM tires for whatever. In short you're looking at a 2-for-1 cost ratio for New Upgrades v. OEM's. Factor in the mileage, etc. left on the OEM's and it's a bit of a Hobson's choice. Me, I'd throw caution (i.e. budgetary concerns) to the wind ans spring for the upgrades and try to recoup some of the $'s spent by selling your OEM's.
P.S. - Besides, you're going to need to upgrade your rear sway bar, braking system, reflash the chip, etc. anyway... So you might as well get started spending a few bucks where it will do the most good.

Ok... here's what i did.
I had about 19k miles on my TSX tires. I too got a puncture near the sidwall. My local shop wanted $250 including balancing and mounting.
What i did was i went onto www.tirerack.com got myself a set of Yoko Avid V4's for about $400. Then sold my stock TSX tires (3 of them left) for $50 each. So... $400-150= $250 so i ended up getting a set of 4 new tires for the price of my one oem tire that i would've had to replace anyways...
Since your tires are much newer, you might be able to get a little more.
You can read about my review of the yoko Avid V4's in the tires and wheels section. I'm pretty sure you'll love them! Plus you get to get rid of the POS stock tires.

The point is, there are better tires for so much less money that, when you factor in selling your three slightly used tires, you will not lay out much more than a new Michelin, have better tires, and gain whatever mileage you have on now. Read the reviews on TireRack, there are much better tires not only for cornering performance but for wet/dry traction, braking, snow (if that's an issue).
Other than that, you might go to the Black Market section of AcuraZine and see if anyone's selling a slightly used OEM. Ebay is also another option. Besides that, the best deal you'll find on them new is likely the $185 plus shipping and mounting/balancing from TireRack. Good luck however you decide to go!

Worst case scenario, try ebay. I did that with a tire i had just sitting around and it fetched much more than people were offering on the message boards for my truck.
