Replacement shocks

I have been searching the forums for recommendations for replacing my 2005 TSX shock. My shocks are shot all round. I'd prefer not to put the money into Acura originals. I don't want to lower my car. I am just looking for at least the original handling but preferably better.
On general auto parts websites, the shock that come up are Monroes and KYB.
Opinions on Monroes seem to be that I might as well be driving a Buick. KYB's seem to come the closest to OE replacements but there seems to be a number of negative comments on the forums.
Tokico Blues keep coming up but it seems that they will lower the car and there are a lot of mixed opinions about them and a lot of people are changing the springs with them.
A-1 assemblies are also mentioned with mixed comments.
I just want a comfortable ride with maybe a little more handling performance.
What's your thoughts?

Konis = Comfortable ride and slightly better handling.

Not cheap though but the quality (durable) is there - coil overs in that price range can't come close to the same ride quality.

Agreed, I'm running Koni Yellow's on the stock Aspec springs. Better ride and handling than stock and they have a lifetime warranty.

TOKICO HP shocks do not lower the car. You can lower the car with KONI Yellows because it has 2 perches (one for stock height and one for 20mm lower). If you are looking for the best shock on the market in terms of quality and performance the KONI Yellows would be your best bet. We have them in stock if you need them. PM us with any other questions.

Koni yellow. Just installed my supercup kit friday and even being lowered the car still rides incredibly smooth, so on normal springs you'd love it.

If you don't mind me asking, did you go with the race or sport springs?
