is this offset safe??

My choice of wheels only comes in 19x8 with +38 offset, I plan to install 225/35/19 on it. My car is currently dropped with tein H-tech springs (around 1" drop front and back.) Will I run into clearance problem with this offset??

yes, and no.

well first off, I'm no expert, so this is just opinion.

okay.

yes, you'll have a problem.
the offset is too low and your wheels will be sticking out.
the 225 tire will help a bit, due to the light stretching you'll do to get them on there.
but still, the wheel will probably stick out.

no, you probably won't rub.
if you have a 1" drop, you still have at least an inch or two clearance all the way
around, and that should be just enough.

might look a bit odd though.

this is my best guess/opinion.

+42 is perfect. I think 19x8 +38 is going to require camber and right size tires to have it running. I would be running 19x8 +42 so...
