Offset Question

I found a good deal on some clean Bronze Volk TE37's, they are only 17's but I know they will still look clean being that I have a PWP TSX. The only thing is the rims have an offset of +32 will this have a negative effect on the rims fitting my car properly or will there be a need for spacers or anything of that nature. I think that the stock TSX rims have an offset of +42 or +45 not sure. Rims are 17x7.5. Thanks for any response to this post

Ooooh....+32? Haven't heard of a TSX with that offset before. Might want to ask xizor....he is the wheel lover

The stock TSX wheel is a 17x7 +55 offset. For a 7.5" rim, you can run up to about a +40 offset. Even at this offset, depending on the tire size, you may encounter some rubbing.

The +32 offset will make the rims stick out past the wheel well. They will definitely rub.

Adding spacers will not increase the offset number. It will *reduce* the offset number which will make the rims stick out even further. If you add a 5 mm spacer, the wheel is spaced out 5mm more which means you will now have a +27 offset which will be sticking out past the wheel well pretty far.

Bottom line is, don't get these rims for your TSX.

for a 7.5" wide rim, best offset would be +42

I have 18x7.5 45mm offset and it slightly tucks under the fender

32mm offset is way too low, that'd probably put too much stress on wheel bearings
