Kazera Wheels?

i am considering getting new rims/tires when i lower my car and was looking around on tirerack at their selection. I like these wheels made by Kazera, but i havent heard anybody except TSXTim mention the company...also, at $150 per wheel for non chrome i am skeptical about the quality....but they look so nice:

Kazera KZ-R

also, they have a width of 7.0.....even less than the OEM rims...how does that affect ride/performance?

I was browsing through Tirerack.com's catalog. Kazera wheels are all made in Germany. I've never heard of them before, but I'd imagine if Tirerack uses them, they must have decent reputation and quality to start with. Are you going with 18s or 17s? If you're going with 18s, you'd need at least 7.5" width or else it'd look funny imo.

i would do 18s, you think those in a 7" width would be a car fashion faux pas?

tirerack is very reputable, so I would hope w/ their name they would at least sell something halfway decent.

Correct info on Kazera

1) They are in made in Korea by ASA exclusively for Tire Rack. Kazera is a brand name developed by Tire Rack kind of like how Toyota developed Scion.

2) They don't bend easily as a previous poster suggested. They are relatively
lightweight. Any light wheel will be more susceptible to bending, damage etc compared to a a heavier OEM type. The Kazera's aren't more susceptible compared to wheels of a comparable weight wearing tires of comparable sidewall heights.

i know two owners of kazera wheels and they both have complained of how easily they bend. in the end it doesn't pay to buy these cheaply manufactured wheels. the quality is poor and on par with a $150 wheel. do not buy them.

Like cy11 mentioned, what was the sidewall size did those people have on those wheels? And did they lower their car, if so, only with springs? There are other factors that also come into play when rims get bent easily than others.

235/40/18 all around and no lowering of the car. my point is you get what you pay for. and the tires are goodyear F1's

If you go with the RJs, are you going to order them and have them shipped? Or are you going to go pick them up? I'm still having trouble deciding whether to go with the RJ Inspyres, TSW Volcanos or G-Games Wolf

The KZT on TSX. They have held up for lightweight wheels on terrible roads.
I just had them spun balanced and we checked the wheel runout.

I wouldn't get the KZT again, probably KZA. I'm looking for a wheel like
the TSW volcano in 45 offset.

This is impossible since the Volcanos only come in 40 offset for the 5x114.3 I believe.

I think volcanos are 8"?, 40 offset would work but I wanted something just
like it in 7.5" at 45 offset.

These wheels are the shit, but I can't do gold. I need something just like this
in silver. Maybe Kazera KZA but I'd rather not have logo on a spoke.

I just purchased 18x7.5" TSW Volcanos that only come in +40mm offset. I wish they had it in +45 but they don't.

and JPL, i'll be taking a lot of pictures once i have the wheels on, i'll try to get a motion shot for you

Very nice man!

I'm going to be installing my shocks/springs/rear camber kit this weekend. The wheels are going to come in within a month. They say 1-2 weeks, but I'm going to give them a month. I definitely wanted to drop my ride before putting on new wheels. The wheel gap just kills me. You should just get springs and get shocks later on. I think Xizor is selling his Pro Kit for $155 shipped or something like that.

Here I have uploaded a video of the RonJon Inspyre wheels in motion.

http://homepage.mac.com/tonecool/Fil...Sharing20.html

hope this helps JPL and anybody else who is interested....if you are interested in a better quality video I will probably have one within a few days, but this should do for now

Are those chrome of polished? It's sort of hard to tell with the quality of the video.
