Its possible to turn the coils all the way down. I've done it before when i had basics and on 19x8.5 wheels....

PlusONE tsx has his tein ss all the way down with the lower mount taken off too.. slammed on 17's, and I think my car is just as low if not lower... and still got ~3" to go on the coilovers

Kind of depends on what coilovers you have I guess... dabuddha has his all the way down on his basics, too
