Does A-Spec suspension have unique L and R rear springs/struts?

The directions said that was the case, but my kit had two rear ones that had the exact same part number (which I have written down at home) and no other markings to distingish them as R or L specific. Could people chime in about their kits (and let me know roughly how long you bought them)?

I'm pretty sure they're left and right specific, and should be marked that way. JTso installed mine, so maybe he can comment.

There is L / R for the front but not the rear.

OK, I stand corrected to what I said in the other thread. When inspecting my shipment there were two pairs of assemblies, one pair identical and one pair with a "L" and "R" sticker. I didn't know which was front and which was rear. And those who know by just looking at the assemblies now know that I am not a gearhead.

That what I thought would be the case too, but I'm really puzzled by the note between steps 19 and 20 in Acura's own directions (seen here ). Also just noticed that a note on the first page (just before step 1) also says there are suppose to be specific rear dampers for each side.

I don't think my fronts had any L or R markings either, but bolt patterns on the top and the aligning tabs at the bottom made it obvious.

I'm glad I had the Honda certified techs at Team Honda do this for me.

Not sure why the A-spec instruction listed L / R but there is only one part number for stock rear shock or rear shock/spring assembly.

Btw, did anyone get the "A-Spec" emblem with the A-Spec kit?

I didn't get an emblem, and I know at least one other person who said they didn't either.

I also did not get an emblem with my a-spec kit (ordered from HondaAcuraWorld). I was puzzled with the mention of seperate left and right rear assemblies, and compared the two for about 10 mins trying to figure out if they were different. Glad to hear that there were no differences in the rear, as I just put them in after not being able to visually see any differences.

Is it possible that the A-spec suspension assembly for the AT has right and left assemblies whereas the one for the MT does not? Mine were for the AT and I did have the R and L assemblies.

BTW, I didn't get an emblem either (not that I wanted it). I bought mine used.

Johnny, I didn't get the emblem with the suspension, but I did notice it was crossed off the list of parts I was supposed to receive with the kit. I wonder if you only get it when you buy all the A-Spec bits together.

I think the only difference between AT & MT versions is the spring rate of the front struts.

I just got the Aspec suspension from hondaacuraworld.com on the group buy, and I did not get the emblem either. I sent an email to Tim to ask why it was not included, and he sent the following reply:

The A-Spec emblem does not come with the suspension kit, it is offered as a seperate item at a cost of 22.10. I called American Honda this morning to confirm.
Best Regards,
Tim Poliniak
Internet Parts Manager
www.hondacuraworld.com

Tim has been good to work with. I bought the OEM bodylit from him a few months ago on a different group buy, but it seems strange to me that the Installation Instuctions list the emblem in the parts list if it doesn't come with the kit.
Did anyone buy the Aspec suspension somewhere else, and get the emblem?

It's now confirmed that specifications are subject to change without prior notice.

Where'd you all get your A Specs from?

Dealer?

Aftermarket dealer?

What did you pay?

Thx. Tim

Ignore, I read on and see all kinds of group buys, etc.
