DIY Strut installation

Anyone has a video or pictures. Just found out my front struts are leaking. The car only 66000 miles. Ordered the Tokico HP blues. Did not want to spend a lot as money is tight. I will try to change all four. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Do you have lowering springs? if you have OEM springs, you will seriously regret installing tokico's!

OEM springs. From the forum they were the most recommended reasonably priced struts. Will be better than the shot ones I have.

no they won't....

you can probably buy an a-spec kit for the parts and labor cost of changing struts. that will be better than one you have now.

You will have to get new springs. Tokico are best suited with After market springs. I love my tokico's but i have them matched up with Tein S-tech springs. Guys on here used them with stock springs and found the drive isn't the best.

I agree....You can buy the A-spec for around 500-600 and they are fully assembled.

About the Tokicos I installed them on a Lexus SC300 with OEM springs as a replacement to worn struts and they didn't ride very well. The springs were was over damped. Of course on smooth roads the stiffen up the ride and help out with the cornering but most of the roads we drive on are not. It caused the ride to be very stiff and a bit bouncy.

hope that helps
