send H&R an email, stating that you would be interested in a 24mm rear sway bar. Tell them you heard that the Grand Am Cup team i-moto racing was running them and want to know if they are selling them to the public.

I am confused. Doesn't Comtech make a 22mm RSB? This is different than the 19 mm that you speak of, and pretty close to the 24 mm that may ro may not be in production.

^^19mm is OEM size. Progress and Comptech RSB's are both 22mm.

Where do you get your info, because that's wrong -- and not even close! The OEM rear bar is only 15mm (see http://hondanews.com/CatID3044?mid=2...72995&mime=asc). That's why it sucks so bad. I can't imagine why Acura chose to put such a small bar on this 3300 lb car. The Accords in europe have thicker/stronger RSBs. Heck even the RSX-S here has a thicker RSB!

Right, and Neuspeed makes a 19mm one.

The Accord in Europe have a 14mm rear sway bar.... Same as with the Accord Euros in Australia. Locally, we only have an aftermarket 18mm rear sway bar. To ship the Comptech 22mm bar over to Australia means paying close to US$250 for it to be landed here.

Does the 19mm of Neuspeed mean that it's less-aggressive of a change, or is there no way of telling (unless you had both in front of you and tried to bend them?)?

Hmmm....last time I looked the european Accord came with a much larger hollow rear sawy bar -- see this post (which has a link to my source)
http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...9&postcount=83.
I found an equation for translating the hollow bars specs -- see those details here: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...0&postcount=85

That's what I think, but I don't believe anyone knows for sure.

Any confirmation on the H&R RSB being 24mm??? If they do have one for our TSX, I'm jumping on it.

According to H&R's website, their rear sway is only 20mm...

http://www.hrsprings.com/site/index.html

Like jimmyc up top said, they MIGHT be producing a 24mm...

jimmyc said H&R made a custom 24mm one for their racing TSX and said to e-mail H&R asking them to produce it for retail as well

Hmm, spec-wise, our Accord Euro is the same as the European Accord, all the way down to the interior. We even have the same 187hp engine. I pulled my rear sway bar out and it was a 14mm solid one.

LOL! I just read the European Accord brochure. You were reading the specs of the stationwagon (pg. 44)! The sedan rear sway bar spec is on pg. 40. It's 26.5 x 4.5 for the front and 14 for rear. So it is a solid 14mm for the rear, the same as for my car.

Doh, you are correct sir! Now I'm going to have to post to that old thread to correct that!! So do you guys get the wagons down there? If so an OEM RSB from it might be a nice upgrade for the sedan.

We don't get the wagon here. But we are getting the diesel sedan next year! Gas prices are killing us. Even BMW has a 3-series diesel being sold here now.

I'd still pick a comptech 22mm with poly bushes over a hollow bar though.

Getting Off Topic

Hey everyone,
This thread is starting to drift off topic. Lets keep the comments here to RSB installations. For general RSB discussion how about you post in this thread: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23774

Not really. I didn't post to "up" you, but rather to correct some bad info you posted. I wouldn't have posted about it again except that your reply (to my correction) made it sound as if you didn't really believe you were even wrong.

So did you ever post about adding a RSB to your A-Spec suspension setup -- or did I just miss it?

Okay question, purely hypothetical, of course. If someone happened to strip the hex key pattern on the inside of the end link bolt in the process of its removal, such that the bolt on the right rear were partially removed and the sway bar was not tightly connected to the right end link, would it be safe to drive around town for a day or so until that person could bite the bullet and get it to the dealer? Just curious if anyone had knowledge on such a hypothetical scenario.

well if you haven't done it already, yes its "safe" to do that, you'll just get some clunking

I, er, the guy I know who this happened to, didn't have to get a new endlink. They were somehow able to retighten it. But this has soured me, er, him, to the sway bar install for the time being.

Are you using the right sized hex key to hold the endlink? I did mine and I didn't even manage to strip it. There was some rust. After changing the rear sway bar, I sprayed on some stuff that that penetrated the rust and repelled water to prevent further rusting.

5mm per JoeRocket's initial post, and the fit felt tight, no play in it. It was just that much of a b*tch to get off, I should have sprayed it with some sort of rust penetrator first.

True, I encountered resistance from the nut and thought that I had cold welded it to the threads. After spraying a little WD40, the nut came off smoothly without resistance.
