Changes to the Rubber Bushings for the Comptech RSB

Has anyone purchased a Comptech RSB lately? Comptech sent me a response to the rubber bushing problem. They said that they're now shipping larger rubber bushings with the RSB. Would a larger bushing solve the noise problem or just cause more issues? I want to order one but I don't wanna have to buy extra parts.

If you're worried about the bushings just get the progress RSB and call it a day.

It's about time Comptech dealt with this issue!. I'll bet they're buying the Energy Suspension non greasable ones.

The intial post said "larger rubber bushings". The ES ones are polyurethane. I doubt they are the same.

Whichever bushings you get (Comptech will send you larger ones for free if you simply ask..even existing owners)...make sure you grease the inside of them and you won't get squeaks.

Angry

I just picked my new RSB up today from a local Acura dealer, but the bushings look the exact same as the one that ooze48 took a pic of. I'll be contacting Comptech to find out what's up with that!

I finally reached someone at Comptech about the bushings. It turns out that if you don't look at them carefully, they'll ship you the old style bushing. The newer bushing is slightly thicker on the flat side, which I think in turn reduces the chances of it being compressed down to almost nothing. I would take a before and after pic of the bushings, but I don't know how to up load the pics.

Here's the pics of the old bushing vs the new bushing.

Notice how the lower portion of the bushings is almost twice as thick as the old one. Comptech said the way you can tell whether or now not you have the new bushing is to look for the line at the bottom of the bushing.
