thats a really low offset, I think you might have rubbing issues there not to mention that the wheel will be sticking pretty far out.

hmmm... how bout a 17x8 in a +40 offset with lowering?

still not adequate really but it might work. I lowered on volks with either a +42 or +43 offset. It worked pretty well with them on however they were only 17x7.5

if you go with 19x8.....do you really want to go as high as possible?

like +48 or +49 ???

my set up is 19 x 8 with 38mm offset, it did rub! but I customed my front konis which everything is ok now (no more rubbing issue)!

where do you live?

basically the higher the offset the more you can lower

oh man......

your car looks outstanding.....i want those wheels....i was thinking about TEIN SS for the suspension

i'm north of Orlando FL, in Lake Mary....

Those black wheels look uber sharp with the PWP. Nice body kit, too.

b_jai, what exactly did you have to do to your koni's to stop the rubbing? Just raise them a bit?


Thanks for the input xizor and cccolts... i guess i really need to hear from a member that has a 17x8" rim with 235/45 tyres thats lowered it around 2" to know if i wont have any troulbes

I have 17x8 +45 TL rims w/ 235/45/17 and am lowered probably 2.5-2.75" (never measured it though) and it rarely ever rubs. I did move the fender liner in the front to inside the fender to get slightly more clearance.
